Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management (PGPPM) wants a master's degree on strengthening public order and management skills of future leaders from the public and leaders from the social services, infrastructure and private sector. It is open to candidates from Indian and international government and non government and private sector. In India, it is open to all candidates from All India Services like IAS, IPS, IFS and other civilian services in addition to the government, non-government and private sector.

The Programme Focuses On:

• Deepening conceptual, technical and analytical skills for public policy making
• Developing leadership and decision making skills
• Understanding of the forces shaping the domestic and international environment for public policy
• Developing specialization in a chosen public policy field
• Providing opportunities to learn from comparative global study of Public Policy in other countries.

The Programme Structure
This Master's programme in Public Policy is of two years duration. The first year is residential at IIM Bangalore, Bangalore, India and Maxwell School, Syracuse University. USA. The second year is spent on dissertation work at the student's respective workplace.
The programme structure is as follows:

• Term 1 and 2 (8 weeks each): Public policy and general management courses
• Term 3 (7 weeks): Core international module on public policy in international comparative perspective
• Term 4 and 5 (5 and 7 weeks): Electives in the areas of specialization and courses from general streams
• Term 6: Dissertation which is continued in the second year.

International Exposure
This Public Policy Programme includes a seven weeks stint at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University, USA.
