The Department of English cordially invites its prospective pursuers into the aesthetic realm of excellence. MA in English Program is affiliated to Bangalore University, Bangalore. The course matrix of the program is intellectually designed by the scholastic people in order to enlighten one’s consciousness of Indian Cultural Diversity and also to crystallize one’s applied intellectuality to cope with the spawning demands of the Global Village. Moreover, the course prescribed for the program intends to drive the students into the individual critical thinking rather than mere book learning process. Besides, the continuous evaluation system is incorporated in order to take stock of students’ progress.
The Department of English has an excellent ambience of learning that includes high profile faculty members, well furnished language lab, various academic forums etc… The Department also insists much on creating applied learning process so that the students can find the compatibility of their class room learning with their professional realms. The Department of English caters to the needs of the UG Programs. The Department has designed its own curriculum in order to nourish Communication Skills among the students. The curriculum framed by the Department includes Personality Development, Presentation Skills, Soft Skills, Pronunciation Skills, etc.
Eligibility
Candidate should have passed 3 years Bachelor Degree Examination of any recognized University in any discipline and should have secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for SC / ST candidates).
