Other Programmes In IIMB

Programs that are open are rooted in the research of the faculty with expertise in various disciplines of management and attract participants from various organizations. The Institute offers a mixture of Directorate-General and special programmes. Directorate-General for the programme aims to demonstrate the need to integrate the different functional areas in the overall strategy of the Organization and skills of the Directorate-General of the participants. Special programmes focus on the update and the expertise of functional specialists of refining.

Customised Programmes

Members of Institute with client organizations, not only to disseminate knowledge of cutting edge your managers through various customized programmes, but also in problem-solving. One of the distinctive elements of programme design and conduct of the corporate partners is the component of action learning. As part of the program, the company's staff study living challenges faced by the company and creates solutions under the direction of the Faculty of institute. The objective is to achieve individual and organizational learning at the same time and more important still, so that things happen.

 

International Programmes

IIM Bangalore has collaborated with top international Business Schools to offer executive development programmes for the benefit of practicing managers.

Jointly offered by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and the Zhejiang University School of Management, China, Innovation and Leadership Beyond Borders is a collaborative, experiential, facilitated learning experience, held in three one-week segments, designed for the senior executive interested in supercharging the innovation of business models and their own global leadership capabilities.

Areas of learning and solution approaches will include:
  • Optimizing manufacturing models (China) and service sector models (India) for cost, scale and speed
  • An on-the-ground understanding of social/business/government practices in Hangzhou (largest concentration of entrepreneurs in China), Bangalore (India's Silicon Valley), and Washington, D.C., the top three innovation hubs
  • Building skills in global leadership, innovation, business model optimization, cross-cultural management, and product/service development
  • Action Learning Projects pairing students from different geographies to develop practical learning and habits in cross-country leadership and ideation
  • Site visits and interaction with entrepreneurs/executives
  • Classroom learning facilitated by academic and practitioner experts

Participants will receive University Certificates from all three institutions.

A cooperative venture of Business Schools in the five countries of UK, Canada, India, China and Brazil, the International Masters Program in Practicing Management (IMPM) is a novel programme that functions in an authentically international context. Every possible aspect of the programme has been customized to concentrate on the needs of participants and their companies. Deviating from the mould of the functional 'silos' so common in management education, the Programme is instead structured around managerial 'mindsets'.

The Advanced Masters Programme in Management of Globally Distributed Work (AMPM) is an advanced management education programme for executives who as a part of their job, need to develop markets, sources and manage business units around the globe.

IIMB also designs and conducts in-house management programmes for international business organizations.

With the increasing interest of the rest of the world to do business in and with India, IIMB has developed a short-duration programme titled "Doing Business in India". This is a highly popular programme that is customized for different organizations and institutes. It equips participants/students to understand processes, trends, economic relations and policy changes in the national and international business environment. Some of our partners include: Melbourne Business School, Tepper School of Management, University of Sydney, EADA Spain, Vienna University, Gothenburg University, and AESE, Portugal.
